MY ROLE:As a member of the Programme Management Office, I acted as the primary contact point for the Impact Ventures' area of investment. I supported the area with the preparation, launch and assessment of its calls for proposals, and by making sure its funding activities comply with EIT rules.I coordinated the monitoring and reporting activities of all EITUM-funded projects, across all company's Business Areas. I defined and optimised processes, and provided training and senior support on project implementation to project managers and partners engaged in our projects.I coordinated and oversaw the design and implementation of the grant management platform in the new company's ERP tool.MY ORGANISATION:EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Since January 2019 we have been working to encourage positive changes in the way people move around cities in order to make them more liveable places. We aim to become the largest European initiative transforming urban mobility. Co-funding of up to € 400 million (2020-2026) from the EIT, a body of the European Union, will help make this happen.

MY ROLE:I was the contact person at the Joint Secretariat for projects with a focus on climate change and natural protection topics (ASP 2021-2017 priority 1 "climate resilient and green Alpine region"): I supported applicants and evaluated project applications; I monitored and supported the implementation of projects and carried out verification of reports. I actively contributed to the Programme development, daily management and improvement: I supported the management and development of the JEMS platform; I prepared documents for meetings of the Programme directive body; I developed Programme official documents and guidance. I represented the programme in 2 EUSALP action groups ("6 to preserve and valorise natural resources, including water and cultural resources" and "7 to develop ecological connectivity in the whole EUSALP territory") and 4 thematic working bodies of the Alpine Convention ("Alpine Biodiversity Board (ABB)", "Large Carnivores, Wild Ungulates and Society (WISO)", "Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development", "Soil Protection"), at the EU Commission, project meetings/events and programme external conferences.MY ORGANISATION:The Alpine Space Programme is a European transnational cooperation programme for the Alpine region. It provides a framework to facilitate the cooperation between economic, social and environmental key players in seven Alpine countries, as well as between various institutional levels such as academia, administration, business and innovation sector, and policymaking.

As a member of the Research Support Office, I was the lead supervisor for project implementation and financial reporting and acted as the company’s internal auditor. I was responsible for the support service to 11 Research Institutes and 4 Centres, overseeing ca. 130 ongoing projects. I provided assistance, consultancy and training to project managers within EURAC and external partners, for the implementation of a wide range of EU, as well as nationally funded projects (e.g. LIFE+, H2020, Interreg, ERDF, and funds of the Province of Bolzano). I elaborated budgets for project proposals and personnel costs for financial reporting. I established internal procedures to fulfil project requirements in collaboration with Human Resources, Legal and Accountancy Departments. I Represented EURAC in Italian and European Project Support Service networks.MY ORGANISATIONOur research addresses the greatest challenges of the future: keeping societies healthy, fostering intact environments, promoting sustainable energy and developing well-functioning political and social systems. Seeking answers through interaction between a variety of disciplines, we develop concrete solutions for regional problems which can then be applied globally.We are linked to research networks all over the world with partners in more than 50 countries, on five continents. The research center collaborates with international organizations such as the Alpine and Carpathian Conventions, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the European Space Agency (ESA) along with several other space agencies. It is also an official duty station of the United Nations and the only Italian headquarter of UNU (the United Nations University). Eurac Research furthermore cooperates with the Council of Europe and other European institutions.

MY ROLE:Responsible for acquisition and implementation of EU-funded projects (IEE, FP7, H2020) in the fields of nature-based solutions, climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. Closely collaborating with city representatives part of ICLEI’s European network. Working on the 100 Resilient Cities global initiative, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation; supporting the organisation of the first two editions of ICLEI’s annual European Urban Resilience Forum.MY ORGANISATION:ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 1,750 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development.
