As records manager for the Office of the University Registrar, I maintained the office's records retention schedule, managed onsite and offsite records, and managed and assisted users with document digitization and our digital records. I also worked to identify, research, and pursue records projects to assist the office in its daily operation, improving access to older student records through digitization projects and updated hardware.

While working for The MediaPreserve, a division of Preservation Technologies, LP, I responded to requests for proposals and quotes for audio, video, and film digitization projects. For active projects, I worked as a liaison between our engineers and technicians and the clients, and I created customized technical and descriptive metadata for clients.

During my time as an intern at Rivers of Steel, I conducted a preservation survey of collection materials, particularly those located the Carrie Furnaces. On completion of this survey, I began to perform necessary preservation tasks for at risk materials. I also have exposure to and experience using Past Perfect software in order to enter collection materials into the database.

In my work at the Preservation Department, I helped manage and complete preservation projects within the Pittsburgh Library System, worked on internal proposals and departmental tasks and projects to aid in outreach and access, and used Voyager software to edit catalogue records of materials. I learned numerous treatments for the preservation of library materials, including corrugated clamshells, tie boxes, corrugated portfolios, cloth clamshells encapsulation, sewn pambinds, pocket pambinds, screw post portfolios, tip in pages, new cases, and cradle construction for exhibits.

My responsibilities as Managing Editor included helping manage and complete tasks with all editors and staff of magazine, including PR, advertising, and layout, making decisions regarding which pieces should be included in the Literary Magazine, and collaborating with editors and other staff members to cut and edit submitted pieces with the permission of the authors.

During my time as a Spanish tutor, I helped college students with introductory level Spanish language and grammar.

Working in the athletic training room, I performed several tasks including treating minor injuries and assisting with rehabilitation of student athletes, observing sports practices and games as a first aid provider, assisting in the training room, working clerical and custodial duties, and working with exercise and rehabilitation machines.

My responsibilities at Wee Care included assisting class teachers with various projects, lessons, and activities, aiding with clerical and custodial duties, and supervising daycare classes with aid from various teachers.

While working for these newspapers, I conducted interviews and research for stories and edited contents of the paper and website, assisted with layout using Pagemaker, InDesign, and Photoshop, and assisted with office work such as answering the phone and covering the desks for on assignment staff.
