• Analyzes, verifies, tracks and reports on trends data. Extracts patient clinical data from medical records or other sources containing patient clinical data. • Verifies and populates patient clinical data in designated databases. • Maintains consistency and integrity of data collection, reports concerns regarding data integrity. • Presents data and recommendations for process/performance improvement initiatives and quality management. • Interfaces data from organization hospitals for reporting purposes; develops and analyses systems needed to obtain information or statistics vital to project. • Identifies metabolic and bariatric surgery patients for inclusion in the MBSAQIP data registry through obtaining reports generated by the OR team.• Collects preoperative, intraoperative, 30-day postoperative, and long-term (six months and annual thereafter) follow-up data components for the MBS Program through the effective utilization of the hospital medical record systems.• Identifies streamlining and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process.• Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources necessary to obtain valid, reliable data for entry into the program.• Utilizes software applications for data collection and analysis.• Responsible for the accurate, complete and timely entry of data into the program's database.• Establishes effective working relationships with Mather Hospital Staff, especially staff in the surgery, medicine, nursing, medical records, and information systems departments and individual bariatric surgeons' whose support is necessary for the management and success of the program.• Successfully completes the MBSCR Online Training Program.• Bill insurance claims for a Mather employed surgeon for Emblem and Humana in eClinicalWorks• Provides technical support to Physicians and their staff in eClinicalWorks
