About Ekta Bhatia, Ph.D.

A research scientist working on quantum technology in a 300 mm wafer-scale development in a culturally diverse environment at NY CREATES. I am also an adjunct assistant professor at University at Albany State University of New work. As a research scientist, my work spans from Josephson junctions, superconducting qubits, and superconducting resonators to materials for quantum technology in 300 mm wafer-scale development. My prior research experience includes magnetic Josephson junctions, superconductor/ferromagnet multilayers, superconducting microwave resonators, and cryogenics at the NSA lab Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) at the University of Maryland, USA; the University of Cambridge, UK; and National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), HBNI, India. My research areas of interest include superconducting materials, devices, circuits, superconducting spintronics, and superconducting quantum computing.Competencies: Josephson junction, SQUID, Fluxonium Qubit, and superconducting resonator design, fabrication, circuit simulation, material growth (sputtering, ALD, CVD), material characterization (XRD, XPS, XRF, XRR, AFM, SIMS, Rs), DC and microwave frequency measurements with VNA and dilution refrigerator, cryostats, data analysis with Origin, Excel, Python, writing journal articles.Materials and Device Developed: 1. High-quality superconducting microwave resonator devices for Superconducting Quantum computation (LPS, University of Maryland, College Park, USA)2. Magnetic Josephson junction and SQUID devices for Superconducting Spintronics (University of Cambridge, UK)3.
