Starting first as an actress, I found my way into scenic and eventually decorative painting by following a love for all the ways paint can transform interior spaces and influence the people who pass through them. When wallpaper began to explode into the design scene, impacting the world of painted finishes, I decided to create my own line of wall coverings that combined the best of both hand & machine-made. Keeping the warmth and rhythm of a hand painted finish, further enhanced by and layered with the precision of a die cut pattern, I created STRATA - a completely unique way to cut and layer paper for a beautiful and dynamic finished effect. The flexibility of my painted finishes allows me to customize colors and techniques for a product line with hundreds of possible combinations all painted by hand in my Sonoma County studio.
