I am currently studying part-time towards a masters (MA) in Art History. I took a career break to raise my two children, this time has also allowed me to evolve and develop skills that can be applied to a varied range of situations. During this break I have achieved a first class honours (BA) degree in Design and Innovation. I have an employment background in process management and auditing and also data analysis and reporting. My studies in the methodologies and concepts of design thinking have been very complementary to this background enhancing my abilities. I am an excellent organiser and problem solver as well as drawing upon my creative side to discover innovation and promote change. My focus on art history brings an awareness of social and cultural frameworks that current society is based upon. I am engaged in studying critical theories and academic writing across many different disciplines. Distance learning demonstrates my ability to plan, manage my time and be self motivated. In addition, there is the research, organisation and high standard of work that is required to achieve a masters. I have successfully completed the first part (equivalent of a PGCE) obtaining a pass with merit grade.I am looking for a part-time, flexible role that will fit well with the last 12 months of my study.
