Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Clinical facilitator for neuro-ophthalmologist, Dr. Collin McClelland, at the University of Minnesota Physicians ophthalmology clinic. Duties include patient care coordination, clinic management, acquisition of records or diagnostic imaging, scheduling, and procedure preparation. Trained to perform Heidelberg optical coherence tomography, Octopus visual fields, and Topcon fundus photography.• Proposed a new system to digitize incoming patient records and then oversaw system implementation for ongoing clinic use. The process greatly reduced our clinics’ paper usage and saved the organization significant time and money. Incoming patient records could be uploaded to our EMR in 24 hours, instead of 14 days. The system was adopted throughout the entire network of UMP & MHealth Fairview clinics.• Won UMP’s “U+ Gold Award” for Innovation and the “Patient Whisperer Award” for Outstanding Performance and Lasting Contribution. Peer nominated for 7 awards for dedication to improving the clinic.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Initially hired as an independent contractor by the Minneapolis Veteran’s Home to assist with the implementation of a new scheduling model and software: Schedule Anywhere. Personally created and maintained over 400 nursing staff schedules without prior experience using the software. • A full-time position was created to allow me to create and manage the adaptation of these new systems and processes. • Key responsibilities included ensuring adequate healthcare staff across campus (7 buildings, 14 wards).• Recommended and oversaw the implementation of a system to forecast staffing shortages, enabling staff to pick up additional open shifts and helped managers control shortages. The system provided useful data to upper management, promoted collaboration and cooperation between RN managers to address staffing levels, and satisfied staff and union requests contributing to significant increases in individual staff and team satisfaction across the organization

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Medical technician and scribe for four busy retina surgeons. Rotated between 5 different clinics assisting with patient care, testing, procedure preparation, and assistance. • Trained new hires on patient screening and customer service. • Office duties included filing charts, triage calls or post-surgery calls, faxing and scanning scripts, and sending follow-up letters to doctors regarding shared patients. • Assisted with a retroactive research project examining eye disease recurrence rates in different populations. Woodstock Racket And Fitness Center

• Basic responsibilities included greeting hotel guests, answering and routing calls, event and program coordination, and sales. • Managing schedules for ten fitness classes, six tennis courts, and two racquetball courts. Tennis scheduling included inn and member reservations, tennis clinic scheduling and signup, tennis lessons, and independent programs.

Danvers, Massachusetts

• Office assistant for Dr. Anna Petropoulos, MD. Duties included the development of a photo management system, photo and video editing, writing, and assisting with office operations and marketing, development of PowerPoint presentations, and graphic design work. • Led project for patient and product portfolios for in-office marketing and education on a compressed timeline and under budget.

Minnesota

• Worked with four women diagnosed with impaired cognitive functioning and other developmental disabilities.• Responsibilities included: organizing and supervising community activities, maintaining financial records, preparing meals, organizing appointments, medication administration, and life skills training.

Boston, Massachusetts

• The goal of the study was to evaluate the effect of intravitreal ranibizumab (Lucentis) in patients with leaking disciform scars.
