I support the Minister Counsellor for Health in advising UK government and HM Ambassador on healthcare policy in China. I write reports and analysis of policy changes which inform and support UK-China relations. I am also responsible for keeping HM Ambassador informed of the local Covid-19 situation and management protocols. This includes reporting back to the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) in the UK government.

I acted as interim Regional Business Manager for APAC region. I managed business operations for both Beijing and Manila UK Visa and Immigration hubs. This included analysis of visa demand and forecasting demand against the impact of Covid-19 for staff planning purposes. I assisted the Regional Director in negotiating staff for 2021-2022 in the face of UKVI budget cuts. I managed the regional budget and finance reporting to the UK government. In this period I managed a team of two staff and continued to oversee general office management.

I worked to support the delivery of the Mandarin Excellence Programme; a Department for Education funded programme which aimed to see 5000 school students on track to fluency in Mandarin by 2020.I was a part of a team delivering the Mandarin Excellence Programme on behalf of the Department for Education. My main duties were to:deal with programme enquiries; market and recruit schools to the programme; coordinate teacher training, school on-boarding and other events; manage communication with schools; write briefing documents and reports for the DfE; organise summer schools to China; diary management for the Director; write Chinese teaching materials; oversee the writing of Chinese language tests and marking criteria; coordinate the sitting of language exams across the school network.

My role was to support recruitment of international students to St George's Medical School, University of London. The role required me to; - create marketing materials aimed at international students- attend recruitment events in the UK and abroad- manage incoming visits from education agents and students- manage course and admission enquires; collect student testimonials, both written and video- oversee annual prospectus production; promote the student experience at St George's- co-ordinate pre-arrival and arrival activities, including running informative pre-arrival webinars- assisting Student Services team with day today queries from enrolled students.
