After ten years and two rewarding careers, I left SF to go travel the world. Four months in, I found my way to an undeveloped tropical island paradise in Cambodia. 5 days in, I had a job working as a volunteer bartender, and then my entrepreneurial spirit took over. Over the next year, I worked at three different bars/restaurants/hostels and learned what fueled success and what hindered it. I focused on connections in the local and expat community and strategized on how I could own my own business.In Feb 2019. along with two business partners (1 British, 1 Cambodian), we opened a back-to-basic beach resort on stunning Coconut Beach on Koh Rong, Cambodia with simple bar made of recycled plastic bottles (washed up from the sea), hand crafted wood-fired pizza own, and two sets of bungalows. Responsible for business operations for San Francisco's fastest-growing, most-awarded theatre company, including marketing, fundraising, development, management, business development, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, financial management, event planning and execution, and more.Leadership & Management: • Played key leadership role in growing non-profit organization from $900k annual budget in 100-seat theatre to $3.2m annual budget in a 250-seat theatre.• Managed staff of 15+ employees and interns in daily operations of a theater company that produces eight productions and 325 performances each year.• Created long-term operations, development, staffing and marketing strategies in conjunction with company founders.
