Hello! I am currently a senior PhD candidate preparing to defend my dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania in the IGG PhD program. I have had several research experiences highlighted in my work experience on my profile prior to my graduate matriculation at UPenn. Immunology is an exciting field where we hope to better understand how the body interacts and reacts to the outside world. I am currently exploring a project in which I use a natural penetration model to understand acquired immunity to percutaneous infection by skin-penetrating gastrointestinal nematodes.

Summer Mrsec Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Reu)Brandeis University May 2016 - Aug 2016Waltham, MaI conducted biological research in the Bruce Goode Lab at Brandeis University investigating the dynamic actin cytoskeleton focusing on the protein coactosin and its behavior in comparison to a labeled coactosin protein, linking the Hampton University MRSEC with the Brandeis MRSEC programs through research and activities with the Brandeis community, and communicating scientific findings through a poster presentation at the end of the summer and lab group presentations.
