I'm in charge of the VMware Cloud business for South Europe, Middle East and Africa

I'm responsible to lead the VMware Cloud on AWS solution on Italy. Part of my responsabilities are to help customers seamless transition to a hybrid cloud, to work close to the VMware core field, to influence the marketing strategy, to enable the partner organization and to strenghten the cooperation and partnership with AWS.

The aim of my work is to help customers realize value by assisting them in finding and deploying the best solution to address their needs through the adoption of Microsoft cloud.Dedicated to the Financial Services industry, I'm focused in driving end-to-end advanced solutions aimed to the transform and modernize datacenters and applications, that leverage on Microsoft Azure services

As an Engagement Manager I am responsible of:- managing and monitoring risks and delivery quality- managing and monitoring the lifecycle of consulting engagements, from initial scoping and contracting through the close of the engagement with the customer- managing the expectations of the sales team, Microsoft partners and employees- building long lasting business relationship with services customers- leading consultant teams (Microsoft and/or partner consultants) during the delivery of customer projects- managing and monitoring revenues, profitability, growth and customer satisfaction of the portfolio- reviewing and approving consultant and partner billable hours and expenses, reviewing and approving client invoices before they are sent

I work in Microsoft as an Infrastructure Consultant.Beside working on projects by planning and deploying solutions to customers, I'm recently dedicated to the management of project as well.Below some of the projects I’ve gone through so far.• Server Farm implementation, including the deployment of a 6-nodes SQL 2005/2008 cluster, a SharePoint 2007 and a SharePoint 2010 farm and a Data Protection Manager 2010 server to protect the whole infrastructure.• Assessment and implementation of a Disaster Recovery solution for the infrastructure described above.• Implementation of an Active Directory forest migration pilot from Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2008 R2.• Implementation of an Active Directory forest upgrade from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2 • Implementation of a Windows 7 pilot deployment and migration from Windows XP, through the use of a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 new infrastructure• Implementation of a private cloud infrastructure, based primarily on System Center 2012 Service Manager and Orchestrator, aimed to automate and standardize the process needed to carry on a massive migratation of branch sites.
