Eli Asulin oversaw the development and initiation of a Combined Cycle Power Station with an 860 MW capacity, achieved at a cost of 1.3 billion dollars. Mr. Asulin founded a company dedicated to the operation and maintenance of this power plant, which included the hiring and training of staff.Since May 2014, the station has been instrumental in providing over 7% of Israel's electricity consumption.Mr. Asulin and his team established comprehensive information systems, including a customer portal, billing and forecasting systems, and trained personnel to manage and sustain these platforms effectively.Dorad secured long-term agreements with Israel's most significant clients, including the Ministry of Defense, Elbit, Israel Aerospace Industries, leading hotel chains, Rafael, Osem, and others.As CEO of Dorad, Mr. Asulin navigated the complexities of the newly privatized electricity sector, facing numerous challenges. Dorad stands as the pioneering entity in Israel offering direct electricity sales to consumers. The procedures and systems he developed and implemented for customers were unprecedented in the country.

In his early career at the Israel Electric Corporation, Eli Asulin embarked on his journey at the Eshkol Power Station, overseeing the construction and operational integration of the country’s first GE+Alstom F-class combined cycle power plant. This project marked the inaugural use of natural gas in Israel, supplied directly to the Eshkol Power Station from the Tethys Sea reservoir. Mr. Asulin served as the maintenance engineer of the station, where he also led the conversion of four conventional units at Eshkol’s C and D stations to operate on natural gas, transitioning from fuel oil.Following this role, he moved to the unified Reading + Gezer Power Station, where he was appointed as the maintenance manager for both stations. At the Gezer Power Station, two F-class combined cycle units from Siemens were constructed, requiring completion of their operational integration and the initiation of their continuous operation, alongside tackling numerous challenges at the Reading Power Station.After several years in this position, Eli Asulin transitioned to a strategic role in Haifa, becoming the Deputy Director of the Production Maintenance Division. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing maintenance across all power stations in the country.
