As an intern at Topcon Positioning Systems, I designed bracketry and cables to help deploy GNSS and Laser systems on heavy construction equipment. For the cables, I created detailed assembly instructions in AutoCAD for Topcon's suppliers. I worked through the DFM process with an electronics manufacturer to develop a 90° adapter for a new generation of displays that uses an Amphenol connector. In addition, I also assisted with engineering change orders and collecting lists of parts needed to be used on a machine.

As a mechanic, I was tasked with diagnosing and repairing various types of food production equipment related to almond processing. I gained hands-on experience working on elevators, gravity tables, and vacuum systems. At this facility, I gained an understanding of the wear that production machinery undergoes and how to minimize it. In addition, I learned more about basic mechanic principles and their applications in production processes.I worked with hand tools, power tools, and operated machinery such as a forklift, Genie Boom Lift, and scissor lift.
