Over the years I’ve been at PetSmart, I’ve received two promotions, with my responsibilities changing and growing each time. In my current position of Merchandise and Inventory Leader, it’s my job to confirm and adjust inventory numbers, reset shelves and merchandise according to monthly changes, stock product onto the sales floor, and manage the reception and unloading of weekly trucks. I keep the warehouse organized, complete observations of specific areas of the store to ensure standards are being met, manage and assign tasks to other associates, and keep the sales floor full, clean, and recovered in an efficient manner. In addition, my other responsibilities include opening and closing the store as scheduled, handling cash registers, and placing and repaying weekly change orders.
