I have the responsibility of managing the teams and processes that that process new design of parts and gear units for assembly in our Elgin factory, as well as the repair and modifications of gear units brought into our facility. Through managing these team members and processes, my goal is to improve efficiency and accuracy, which leads to the best customer experience with the purchase of new gear units and having gear units repaired at our Elgin facility.

If a quality defect is ever found in house or by a customer after delivery, it is my responsibility to implement the appropriate changes through our ECN (Engineering Change Notification) process to remedy the issue and ensure it never repeats.- Inspect and disposition components with quality issues and troubleshoot gear units that fail test protocols. Complete FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and determine corrective actions to minimize the cost of poor quality of components from our suppliers, labor and materials of assembly or repair, and of our products in the field for our customers. - For significant product or production issues, I utilize a cross functional team to complete an 8D and/or 5Y to ensure we have determined the correct root cause and contributing factors then implement the appropriate corrective actions to ensure improved quality moving forward.- Rework technical procedure and QA documents, identifying opportunities for improvement then update in our QMS (Quality Management System) online database.
