Eli recently graduated, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the City College of New York. Within the discipline of Electrical Engineering Eli dedicated himself towards circuits, communications, and systems courses. In these classes, as well as in others, Eli was given projects, both individual and group, to analyze and to simulate assignments. Such projects were to create an amplifier, to create a communication network between several nodes, and to create a variable gain tuned amplifier with strict specifications to be used in communications. From these projects Eli learned firsthand how to use several engineering software such as LTSpice and OPNET.Eli took upon a handful of projects as well. After being inspired from a microprocessor-based computer lab, Eli decided to build his own personal projects. Eli designed a strobe light with several settings and sensors that he had to program, wire, and troubleshoot. In addition, Eli was asked to create multiple embedded systems that can be used at Camp Simcha's high-tech escape the room experience. Some of these embedded systems use sensors that interact with magnetic fields, lights, and radio waves. As part of Eli's senior design project, he was a part of a three-person team that wrote a Python code for a Neural Networks Artificial Intelligence that’s purpose was to trade stocks, and yielded a low beta with positive returns. The senior design group also competed in the Quantopian stock trading competition and ranked within the top 10-20%. Additionally, Eli had several opportunities to strengthen his interpersonal skills with extra-curricular activities. Eli is involved in Chai Lifeline, an organization where he coordinates visits to sick children in multiple medical facilities. Eli also spent parts of his summer breaks volunteering with disabled children by planning outdoors excursions that were sponsored by Chai Lifeline/Camp Simcha.
