As Founder and Executive Director of CSI NYC, I: • Defined the vision, established the strategy and developed the business plan for the new enterprise. • Designed and executed a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to establish our brand and positioning within the local market. • Designed organizational structure, recruited staff and managed multiple teams for the creation and operation of the space and community.• Defined the local program vision, forged more than twenty partnerships and created dozens of programs to accelerate the growth and impact of our members.• Built a thriving community of more than 400 social entrepreneurs and nonprofit professionals within the first year of operations.• Achieved goal of generating 60% of our operating budget from earned income and secured $1.3 million in philanthropic contributions from an array of corporate and foundation supporters.

In various roles including Director of Programs and Director of Operations, I oversaw an increase in CSI’s operating budget from $350,000 per year to $4.5 million per year, an increase in its footprint from 5,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft, and an increase in its community size from 14 members to over 600 members. • Designed and delivered the Enterprising Non-Profits initiative, Toronto’s first social enterprise grant-making program. • Led the development of Canada’s first social innovation hub in a public housing community, as part of a major joint public and private sector initiative to revitalize the neighborhood. • Established the organizational model and governance structure for the Frontline Partners with Youth Network, a city-wide peer support and information-sharing network for front-line social service professionals in Toronto.• Project managed the development of an online platform to connect and support CSI’s growing network of over 600 social entrepreneurs.* Led the design and facilitation of more than 50 special events and programs to support community development and amplify impact.
