Gap Inc., San Bruno – Information Technology, Senior Manager: 11/2000 to present• Inventory Management, Planning and Forecasting. Managed a Team of 25+ resources in support of tactical operations, enhancements and project work related to these areas. Included onshore and offshore resources. Retek Planning/Forecasting (Top Plan/Key Plan) and Demand Manager v9.4.1. Inventory systems were mainframe and Unix – Oracle Retail -RMS v10.1. Also supported a SAS based Unix tool that helped in planning and allocation.• Gap Managed Service Model. Managed the transition of a preferred vendor (Infosys) to take on application support activities for Inventory, Sourcing, and Logistics. This included intense planning, coordination, and acceptance of exit and entry level criteria to land in steady state support. Successfully accomplished within 5 months.• Disaster & Recovery: Managed Inventory & Supply Chain applications to fold into the corporate wide IT business continuity plans. Oversaw plans for recovery/execution during many offsite recovery exercises.• Vendor Master Project: Managed I2 and Gap development, including testing, for this significant enterprise project that was deployed in October 2006. Used Enterprise Bus to bridge legacy applications to I2.• B2B Project and Operational Manager: Managed the creation of B2B infrastructure and migrated 700+ vendors from legacy EDI Van to AS2 technology using IBM WBIC environment. Maintained the High Availability Hub and set up process/procedures to maintain vendors. Optimized production environment and established archiving mechanism. Managed a 3rd party, Viacore/Business Tone, to drive noted activity.• Vendor Portal: Under the Enterprise portal, supported parallel projects to leverage the portal technology. Consulted with Vendor Direct project and was first effort to be placed on portal. Worked with business to include supply chain dashboards and key API’s into portal.

Administrative, budget, and cost center management accountability, which entailed recruitment, development of staff, and general management reporting. Managed E-commerce, Web, client server, and mainframe applications, along with providing projects with appropriate resources. Supported Oracle 8i databases. SUN and IBM machines drove the Unix environment. Functional accountabilities included managing:• Group of approximately 30 IT professionals consisting of employees, contractors, and a third party with five direct reports. • Web Deployment Services encompassed four Web applications ranging from product ordering to customer enrollment. Directed the development of two of these Web systems from requirements to implementation. Web systems had 24x7 service level agreements in a Unix framework, using MQ.• Three client server applications with Unix environments and Powerbuilder front-ends and C++ back-ends, with Oracle Databases, tied with Connect Direct. These applications generated rebates that interfaced to SAP, maintained product pricing, and initiated orders for the speculative buying system.• Three critical legacy areas consisting of on-line and batch components, which reflected customer, item, and vendor data. File structures were DB2, IMS, and VSAM. These CICS systems drove all subsequent batch and other multi-platform processing. MQ used to sync up DB2 & Oracle databases.• Customer Services Reporting area and a legacy ordering system that represented 70% of the daily million line item orders.• $17 billion dollar Accounts Receivable, $50 million Chargeback, and complex Contract Administration systems.

• Manager: Managed Corporate Systems Group (staff of 27) including recruiting, performance appraisals, planning, budgeting, and management reporting. Accountable for all corporate systems including a portfolio system, which tracked $15 million of investments, Insurance Accounts Receivable with over 2+ million accounts, and Human Resources/Payroll that administered over 8000 employees.• Project Manager: Replaced insurance receivable system with ISI's Universal Billing System, 1995. Managed all aspects of project from initial contract negotiation, planning and development to installation of this billing system, which processed over 3 million accounts.• Project Manager: Directed a team to develop a membership billing system with DB2, OS/2 technology, installed August 1993. Business re-engineering effort included client-server design using PMSC software. Project Team of 20 consisted of programmers and client analysts. Responsible for all deliverables created throughout the systems development life cycle.• Project Manger: Directed installation of several software packages such as Computer Associates' HRS/Payroll, and General Retrieval System, and a Portfolio system called OSCARS. Managed Dunn & Bradstreet software for General Ledger and Accounts Payable. Installed Policy Management System's Series III billing (client-server). • Senior Programmer Analyst: 1980-1983Supported Human Resources, Payroll, and Sales Incentive applications. Installed third party vendor packages and maintained these applications developing significant enhancements such as 401K, Demand Deposit Accounting, Benefit Statements, ERISA, 401K, and other statutory reporting.
