Subsequent to my promotion, the vector of the company's progress changed and we transitioned to planning a cluster (an association of containers) – to achieve substantially larger production on a daily basis, according to the customer's requirements.The configuration derived from the new concept, which included placing growing containers and a nursery side by side.Leading the R&D department to focus on the changes that were required in light of the changing trend we:• Completed the planning of a central irrigation system (timing calculations, setting up appropriate irrigation tanks, the required water infrastructure, drainage infrastructure, etc.)• Characterized and directed the planning of the Central energy system (HVAC, chillers, water infrastructures)• Characterized and managed the central control system.• Designed upgrades to the existing growing container.• Created an innovative design for a new nursery store.As part of the many activities I led in the department, I promoted the product's capabilities to its maximum optimization as well as creating differentiation and a marketing advantage through innovation:A system for compacting seedlings adaptively.Moving wall-hanging (clearing the floor from rails and disturbances)Double-sided growth wall (significant downsizing of the wall's width and thereby increasing the amount of crops in the given volume)Improved growth capsuleA particularly low-cost growth wall - (a particularly effective design from DTC considerations)A technique to reduce the lighting heat in the energy balance - cooling water for the lighting lampsChanging the lighting setup to save more than 50 percent - innovative lighting logic.An innovative watering mechanism for young seedlings - a unique and precise system.Development of a unique and precise air circulation systemDevelopment of a precise irrigation system with plugs

Upon my arrival at the company, I identified the company's goals and proceeded to establish the development department: recruiting engineers, characterizing and procuring the necessary computer equipment and CAD software, integrating software for managing and sharing information, and implementing methodical procedures and work practicesI made sure to have an organized and accessible set of documentation to facilitate proper and high-quality development processes.I led detailed design reviews according to the accepted engineering format.I worked together with other departments toward a smooth and optimal transition process from development to production (NPI).The task required of the company's development team was the extremely tight-scheduled positioning of an MVP for growing selected plants inside a basic indoor 40-foot containerWe characterized, designed and built an initial technological demo, in which the product's ability to function optimally was tested and proven.The autonomous growing system was composed of subassemblies that were fully developed by the R&D department:• Characterization and establishment of a new and particularly efficient irrigation and fertilization method, which also included an R/O system.• Definition of the optimal growth lamp (spectrum and intensity/flux) for the defined plants.• Characterization and backup by analysis of the optimal air circulation method for the plants, according to agronomical requirements..• Characterization and definition of the internal air conditioning system in view of the high humidity and temperature requirements throughout the growing cycle (day/night).• Characterization and definition of a system operation plan (SAP) including I/O components for the control planner (subcontractor).• Characterization of planning and execution of the drainage system to collect excess water and remove it from the container, while maintaining a dry and clean floor.

Leading the development of a line of containers for agricultural crops for Medical purpose.Head of Farm Growth Project.• Establishing and heading a team of experts to design a concept for optimizing the airspeed in the container, while maintaining optimum environmental conditions required to grow plants of various types and needs.• Formulation of the conceptual design, leading design development, detail design, preparation of production references, manufacturing drafts, directing subcontractors. • Managing subcontractors: definition of work packages, characterization of needs, transfer of production drawings / requirements documents for all operating areas - electricity for all system components, irrigation control, growing lighting, design and development of boiler cell and building, air treatment unit (ATU), Chiller for interior air conditioning, air purification, irrigation and fertilization systems, etc.• Leading the production and integration of the container on site.• Characterization, development and production of the container loading and unloading process (patent).
