I work as an ESG & climate risk expert in the Banking Book Portfolio Analysis and Control team in the risk management department of OP Financial Group. One of my key areas of focus has been developing the stress testing and scenario analysis methodology concerning climate and environmental risks of OP's credit portfolio. Additionally, I have been designing emission-related limits and management processes to monitor the emission intensity reductions of selected emission intensive portfolios in accordance with OP's emission reduction targets and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, I have been developing the internal ESG and climate related credit risk reporting and monitoring to support executive decision making. I am also responsible for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the reporting of changes in repayment programs and have supported in the reporting and analysis of the development of expected credit losses of different portfolios. I have been a part of identifying new risk drivers arising from observed and potential future changes in the macroeconomic, geopolitical and regulatory environment affecting OP's credit portfolio.

My main responsibility as the ESG expert at Lenz Projects was developing the ESG consulting practice and services, including service design, project planning, communications and marketing strategy, sales, and recruiting. Additionally, I created several sales proposals for ESG-related projects and conducted sales meetings. During my time at Lenz, I worked as a consultant in an IT transformation project for a large international client in the industrial sector. Furthermore, I had the chance to develop and manage sales campaigns and related analytics, and create support materials and processes for future projects. I partook in longer-term strategic planning and a broad variety of other activities at Lenz Projects, which provided me with valuable experience in entreprenourial startup work.

At PwC, I worked on two client projects assessing the client companies’ sustainable investment potential according to SFDR and advising the clients with regards to improving their approach to key ESG issues from value creation to risk mitigation and compliance. Additionally, I partook in three ESG Due Diligence projects assessing the target companies’ maturity in material ESG topics and providing recommendations for enhancing the ESG performance and sustainability-related processes at the companies.

My key responsibility during my employment at MuniFin was to improve the methodology and processes of the impact calculation framework for MuniFin’s green and social finance. I then worked on structuring the annual impact reports for MuniFin’s green and social finance as well as prepared sustainability-related content for the annual report. Additionally, I had the chance to participate in enhancing MuniFin’s own ESG approach and performance in preparation for the EU Taxonomy reporting obligation.

I provided market research services for Hajime Solutions as a freelancer.

I created a comparative report analyzing the allocations and performances of the investment portfolios of Finnish insurance companies as well as large Nordic pension funds and banks. Additionally, I conducted further research comparing the ESG investment strategies, ESG risk management processes, and sustainability reporting approaches of the same companies and institutions. Based on my findings, I synthesized a proposal including an enhanced ESG investment strategy, sustainability reporting approach and other actions to consider for Fennia based on industry practices, the latest research, and investment analysis.
