I offer social support groups for young transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse children ages 4-12. We meet weekly on Zoom for joyful connection, singing, playing, and reading. I curate a Patreon for families and educators where I share gender inclusive curriculum, favorite children’s books, and tips for uplifting young trans kids. I also consult with participating children’s families and manage a private online community for the adults of Galaxy. Finally, I offer professional development for schools, administrators, and districts wishing to work towards gender justice in their communities.

All TK-2nd grade students at Grant Elementary took turns attending my art class every other week, exploring identity and socioemotional skills through a curriculum I designed to offer them opportunities to create art with a variety of mediums that could empower them to embrace Maya Gonzalez' 3 Rules of Art - everyone is an artist, there is never a right or wrong way to make art, and art is an act of courage. We wrapped up the year with an art gallery featuring self-portraiture, abstract pattern work, community murals, and more.

I taught 7th and 8th grade students in a combined English/Social Studies course where I designed and implemented a project-based social justice oriented capstone project for students to explore over our months together. They explored identity through research, literature, composition, and creative endeavors. Topics explored included autism, race, anxiety, menstruation, gender identity, ADHD, disability justice, depression, and sexism. Final creations included zines, art installations, informational essays, persuasive letters, blog posts, pamphlets, Scratch games, a pop-up museum, posters, and videos.

I covered a 2nd/3rd grade combo class at a parent-participation school where I'd taught for many years before. My students co-created an imaginary island where we explored concepts of math, writing, science, and art through our creative play. Fidget Island supported their socioemotional growth and provided a framework for us to navigate and negotiate community expectations and learning goals.

I edited over 200 educational presentations for Woodard's Scaling New Heights conference, where accounting professionals deepen their understanding of a variety of industry-specific topics. My input as an experienced educator raised the quality of the materials I oversaw, beyond just the excellent grammar and graphic design improvements I made, so conference attendees could better learn and conference presenters could better educate!
