I started out in the Meat department as a meat clerk/cutter and learned how to me(a)t the needs of customers wants. I would often time communicate with clients on which cut of meat was best suited for their event or purpose. I also learned different techniques to make cleaner cuts of meat and was taught to use varying tools from a bandsaw to cut pork to an industrial meat grinder.Eventually I transitioned to the Grocery and Front of store departments where I directly communicated with customers helping them find their desired items. At the front end, I operated POS systems and directly handled cash from time to time. In the grocery department I helped to stock inventory both on the sales floor and in the basement/ back room while also handling instacart orders at the same time.
