My specific job title was "Fresh Forklift Driver". It was my responsibility to perform all forklift duties necessary for the Fresh Departments at Costco Moorabbin. These duties entailed taking delivery of fresh, frozen and dry goods for the Meat, Deli, Bakery and Food Court Departments, and conducting general stock control and review. I also maintained stock levels in the cool rooms and freezers specific to these departments, so as to ensure continuous production. Additionally, I was responsible for the storage of departmental stock in the industrial steel on the warehouse floor, the restocking and condensing of pallets, and the removal of empty and broken pallets. This involved making packaging and other necessities immediately accessible for staff, the safe storage of pallets, and the tagging of pallets in preparation for the Fresh Department's stocktake, once a month. On occasion, I was also called upon to assist with forklift duties upon the warehouse floor so as to ensure the warehouse could open on time.

I was further responsible on a semi-regular basis for the sanitisation and cleaning of the department at the end of the day, which necessitated a knowledge and understanding of chemical handling and safety around potentially dangerous equipment in the department.
