Two words that best describe me are "people person"Yes, us engineers can be outgoing and social too! With a work background in sales and a degree in physics, having the opportunity to lead teams of engineers running tests on highly complex aircraft feels like I'm just hanging out with my friends running fun experiments that, in turn, will eventually help improve the lives of Americans.I am currently where I have wanted to work at since I was young, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I have 4 years of experience as a civil servant and are 2 years into my job as a Range Systems Engineer for NASA. I have been fire-hosed into the year/seemingly decade long program that is the X-59 and have enjoyed every minute of this fast paced project. I have setup new fiber connections to Lockheed Martin creating easy ways to transfer real time telemetry data and even dabbled in the creative by designing a trailer that will be utilized as a mobile control room travelling across the country to collect data from the X-59 aircraft.In my past, I have led teams of engineers running tests on sophisticated aircraft systems, won awards for multiple testing efforts in which I was a key member of, supported my peers in similar tests wherever they need it, and taken over test planning when nobody else would. I am proud of my achievements in my roles at the USAF and NASA and grateful for the various teams of individuals that helped me along the way.When I'm not at work, I am living in the world of professional sports. From heckling goalkeepers at LA Kings games, dancing with fans at LAFC soccer games, and being commissioner of multiple fantasy football leagues with friends and coworkers. If I'm not at these events, you can find me at the nearest honky tonk line, dancing and two stepping with my friends (while also secretly getting in my cardio of the week).As a people person, I hope to spread kindness and joy to everyone who crosses my path in life whether it be at the epicenter of the aircraft testing universe here in the Antelope Valley, or at a sporting event cheering on my favorite team. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me and am willing to learn and grow in whatever role I find myself in.
