While under intense time constraints, crafted press and veto declaration language, performing research needed to ensure the accuracy of asserted statements.Drafted reviews of clemency petitions. Researcher for an institute project focused on legal and social impact of state-initiated propaganda and truth commissions on the national and international stage. Edited, proofread, simplified, and added to law review article with the goal of conversion of that document into a publishable book. Worked directly under Brian Havel, Director of the International Aviation Law Institute. Was expected to serve only as summer employment but was asked to remain on project into following academic semesters.

Conducted research of state statutes and court histories that pertain to the field of workplace drug testing. Analyzed and incorporated state statutes into client drug test policies, while monitoring them when laws, regulations, and court decisions evolved.

Fundraising call-time manager for Wisconsin Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton. Organized the Lt. Governor’s calls to prospective donors while coordinating interns, setting up fundraising events, and managing an extensive financial database. Was also involved in press relations, internal policy discussions, and the campaign’s social media presence. Reported directly to the Campaign Manager, Ben Nuckels, providing details of daily fundraising and organizational progress.

After election at age 19, represented roughly 13,000 constituents as an elected official in the city of Madison, Wisconsin. Wrote and promoted legislation, held weekly listening sessions, and reached out to campus and city social organizations. Co-wrote and sponsored textbook protection law, authored "Photo Ordinance" (requiring that property owners document and prove security deposit deductions in court), created downtown lighting grant program, and helped establish campus area neighborhood organization. Served as a member of several city committees, including Public Safety Review Board, Downtown Coordinating Committee and Housing Committee. Endorsed by the Wisconsin State Journal, the Badger Herald, and the Daily Cardinal newspapers. Election fell in the middle of UW-Madison spring break. Coordinated an extensive absentee ballot campaign. Personally signed up almost 1,000 campus and apartment residents for absentee ballots, with dozens of volunteers offering additional support.

Organized thousands of students, along with an eight person executive board, in the education and “Get Out the Vote” efforts behind fighting a constitutional ban on civil unions and marriage for same-sex couples. Broke campus voter turnout records by thousands while also delivering an average “Pro-Fair Wisconsin” vote of 87% in all student wards.
