As a TOC assessor it is my responsibility to ensure that those chiropractors, educated overseas, are competent and fit to practice in the UK, in accordance with the General Chiropractic Council's Code.

Established in 1925, the British Chiropractic Association is the largest and longest-standing professional body representing UK chiropractors.

As Vice-President of the British Chiropractic Association, Elisabeth Angier had a number of roles ensuring that the Association provides a wide range of affordable and effective services to support its members. She lead the educational/academic component of the Strategy Review Committee, compiling a 3, 5 and 10 year plan for the organisation, enabling the organisation to move forwards with an innovative and fresh approach. Elisabeth Angier was Chair of the BCA Conference Committee and was responsible for organising the annual Spring and Autumn Conferences, ensuring that there is a wide range of diverse and inspiring speakers. She was a member of the Editorial Board for the BCA's quarterly-publication, Contact, and is also a regular contributor. Elisabeth worked on the Governance of the Association, reviewing the structure and succession of the Council, its members and committees.She also had an ambassadorial role within the national and international chiropractic arena, representing the British Chiropractic Association at international conferences and conventions, academic award ceremonies and meetings with key stakeholders.

The Chiropractic Research Council (CRC) was established in 2013 to provide leadership and unity in chiropractic research. The CRC aims to increase the chiropractic evidence base, by promoting research, increasing the research capacity and supporting researchers. It will also raise the profile of research relevant to the practice of chiropractic and will encourage new chiropractors to embrace research.The CRC is concerned with advancing chiropractic research for the benefit of patients. It does this by educating chiropractors and the public and by promoting and protecting the biopsychosocial health of sufferers of musculoskeletal conditions
