As a lifelong reader, writer and storyteller, I study English and Creative Writing at UNC-Chapel Hill. I'm also pursuing a B.A. in Journalism and Media with an Advertising and Public Relations focus.From advertising strategy to press releases to short fiction, I love to explore compelling insights and stories in my work. I craft a range of deliverables for clients in my Ad/PR classes, write spunky adoption profiles for dogs at Independent Animal Rescue and collect story ideas as if they were autographs. This fall and spring, I am crafting a Senior Honors Thesis in Fiction Writing. I recently completed a public relations and social media internship at Chernoff Newman, a leading marketing firm in the Southeast. There, I assisted with content creation, media monitoring, media outreach, media training and more for a range of clients, honing my written and verbal communication skills in a creative, fast-paced agency environment. I am eager to gain more experience in the publicity and/or publishing spheres, pursuing opportunities that encourage me to use my skills and passions in the workplace.
