As part of my fellowship I conducted an interview-based study to explore people's views towards the creation and use of genetically engineered animals for research purposes. I was also involved in impact analysis to assess the feasibility of implementing new guidelines.I travelled extensively during my fellowship, and presented my work at various conferences, as well as conducting two work stages in the UK to work with the UK RSPCA, the National Centre for the Three Rs, the Universities Federation of Animal Welfare (UFAW), the Fund for the Replacement on Animals in Medical Experiments (FRAME). As part of these stages I also visited several different research facilities to learn more about the use of genetically engineered animals in research.
