I started in the day camp role just as a counselor, then worked my way up to become the Assistant Director. In this role, I was in charge of, alongside the Director, to create schedules, supervise both kids and employees (counselors) and be able to work at a fast, quick-thinking pace. This role involved speaking to parents about issues, concerns, and updates on their child. I was expected to take charge, initiative, and be able to come up with new ideas within just minutes. I was also responsible for making sure medication and forms were all up-to-date.
