I am a Jewish-Canadian writer, journalist, public speaker and educator on far-right extremist movements. Currently I am Regional Coordinator of Central Canada and the United States for the Against Violent Extremism (AVE), a global network of former extremists and survivors of extremist violence working in partnership with ISDGlobal. I am also the author of the bestselling 2014 memoir Race Traitor and several other books. My articles have appeared in Canadian Jewish News and NOW Magazine. My life as a teenager was documented in the 1998 CBC movie White Lies, starring Sarah Polley as me.As a public speaker and subject matter expert on domestic terrorism and extremist political movements, I have been interviewed by CBC, CTV, Global TV, Toronto Sun, Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, Maclean's, Canadian Jewish News, Metro News, Newsweek Magazine, Huffington Post, Now Magazine, Vision TV and other media. Keynote speaker for Toronto City Hall, LGBT, Jewish community groups, high schools and universities across North America.I am also the Founder and Executive Director of the Changemaker Arts Project, a Canadian non-profit charitable organization dedicated to making, teaching, producing and showcasing art that makes a difference. Our aim is to educate, inspire & empower others by harnessing the power of creativity to raise social awareness, bring arts to the disadvantaged & make a positive change in the world. Finally, I am an experienced social media strategist who guides businesses, non-profits and artists in setting up, managing and maximizing their online presence.
