I worked in the Jones Lab, making an iridium-based catalyst and using it in the Guerbet reaction. We tested different conditions for turning ethanol into n-butanol.

Chemistry intern in the DNA-Encoded Library lab. Obtained proof of concept of a pilot project to evaluate hit molecules efficiently and easily. Performed on-DNA synthesis to attach chemical building blocks, then used UPLC-MS to analyze products. Collaborated with a biology lab and shadowed colleagues in other chemistry labs, learning about other aspects of medicinal chemistry.
