This was my second semester as a learning assistant in the course TTK4235 - Embedded Systems. In this position I guided students in the lab while they programmed a microcontroller, and during a bigger project where they programmed the control system for an elevator. The thing I did most of in this position was to help students fix bugs in their projects. This was not always easy, but it taught me a lot about how to write good code and how to do efficient debugging.

This summer I worked for Cognite, a company delivering cloud services. Together with my team I developed a chatbot that lets the user ask questions about the content of documents related to process equipment. The user can then open the relevant document on the page where the chatbot found the information to verify it herself.This solution will in the future be available on Cognite's cloud services and will save users a lot of time spent scrolling through technical documents. To be able to do this I had to learn about generative AI, and text and language processing, as I was responsible for embedding the documents. We developed the chatbot using Python and Typescript.My team received great feedback on our showcase for the rest of the company engineers at the end of the summer, and our project was even demonstrated for potential customers.

Over six weeks I developed a digital twin of a test rig. This digital twin included a model of the process in the rig, an API that ran the simulation with provided data and returned the calculated results, and a webpage that showed the simulated results next to measurements from the rig in real-time.I also used the API to run simulations with old data, to monitor the efficiency of process equipment and see if it had changed over the last months.
