The Teacher Home Visit Program, I was responsible for coordinating local travel as well as domestic and international travel, communicating in a professional manner with donors and school administrators, conducting extensive research related to both fundraising and programmatic efforts, writing and editing organizational literature, and maintaining a well-supplied office environment.

As a Chapter Consultant for Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, I collaborated with college students, university administrators, and Fraternity volunteers to provide resources, training, and support for the growth of membership, service, and leadership programs. I traveled extensively around the U.S.A. to work with students at various chapters and extension efforts, assisting them in any way I could so that they could grow on campus and in their community. When I was not working directly with students, I focused on strengthening and developing innovative educational programming that will be used by future Chapter Consultants and Fraternity volunteers to assist in mentoring students.In my work with Alpha Phi Omega, I traveled nearly 10,000 miles, visited almost 50 universities, and presented unique educational content to audiences as large as 150 people.

As a Peer Advisor for Emory's Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA), I worked to provide education and guidance to students both embarking on and returning from studies abroad. In this capacity, I was responsible for creating and conducting orientation programs for students preparing to study in African countries; presenting educational content to audiences as large as 250 about a range of topics including international healthy and safety, respecting cultural differences, and best practices for maximizing academic performance abroad; creating new literature to advertise programs in Africa; and meeting with students to offer resources and support both on a scheduled and a walk-in basis. I also performed basic administrative tasks as needed to aid the department.

Greater Atlanta Area

As a Research and Programming Intern for Emory's Office of Sustainability Initiatives, I successfully researched, coordinated, and implemented multiple successful strategies for increasing sustainable practices on campus. Most notably, I was responsible for assisting in the design of an approach that resulted in 20% energy reduction within a university hospital, creating a campus-wide guide for integrating sustainability topics into student programming, coordinating a well-received campus PR initiative, and collecting and analyzing extensive data that led to Emory's being awarded "Gold" status by a leading sustainability organization. My day-to-day duties required me to collaborate across university departments and with Emory students and community sustainability partners.

As a Writer Intern, I composed 45 articles about poverty interventions, public health news, and international development issues for publication on The Borgen Project's blog during the summer of 2014.
