I currently work as a Youth Residential Support Worker, providing care and support to children with disabilities while working closely with the youth justice system. I hold a valid Blue Card, LCS2 check, and a Certificate IV in Youth Work. In this role, I am responsible for a range of tasks, including daily reporting on the wellbeing of the children, preparing incident reports, and attending meetings with management, clients, and stakeholders to discuss strategies and care plans. I also assist in transporting clients to appointments and provide tailored support in line with NDIS plans, Youth Justice parole guidelines, and Child Safety intervention strategies. A key aspect of my role is maintaining compliance with the Child Protection Act 1999, which involves staying current with ongoing training in areas such as trauma and attachment, suicide awareness, and crisis intervention.

At Griffith University's Innocence Project, I collaborated with a team of five under the supervision of the Project's Director and Convenor, following guidance from associated lawyers to review claims of wrongful conviction. Our responsibilities included analyzing case files, conducting in-depth research, and developing chronologies and prosecution strategies. We regularly consulted with legal counsel to assess the evidence and explore available legal avenues for our clients. Under legal instruction, I drafted a wide range of legal documents to support case progression.

My focus was on client-facing tasks, particularly assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander class members with the registration process via email and phone. I also became proficient with file management systems like iManage, where I managed client correspondence, documents, and eligibility assessments.
