About Elisabet Solé Verdaguer

Hi there, I'm currently doing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. BACKGROUNDI'm a well travelled, trilingual Mental Health professional. These characteristics and my passion for Mental Health have been the motivation behind my studies in different countries and different languages, helping me to keep my knowledge up to date with the latest research in the field. Scroll down to see my resume below.RESEARCHI worked at University College London (Division of Psychiatry) as a Research Assistant, focusing on Dementia and Depression. The project I was involved with was the IDEA project, a feasibility trial of behavioural activation for people with mild dementia. I did that while conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis in Minor Depression and Alzheimers Disease. Previously I collaborated with two Research Projects in Spain; the DASMAP and MULTIVINT project. PRACTICEAfter spending 5 years dividing my time between research and clinical practice (CBT), I realised that my long-term aim is to mix both fields in order to keep close contact with patients. A bit more: MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at UCL, Master in Adult's Clinical Psychopathology at UAB, Postgraduate in Low Intensity CBT at UCL, Psychology Undergraduate, Postgraduate specialisation course in ‘Empirically Supported Treatments (ESTs) and their Clinical Practice Guidelines’, Postgraduate specialisation course in ‘Pharmacology in Clinical Psychology’, Bilingual in Catalan and Spanish, English Proficiency, Research Assistant, Li CBT trained, Editor, Charity, Yoga practice, runner, Activist, Feminist, nature-lover, traveller, culture, avid reader.
