My name is Elissa Leon and I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. I am passionate about promoting health literacy through education. My background in community health promotion has fueled my curiosity about health behaviors and how to build healthier and more capable communities. I am experienced with public speaking and teaching health topics from internship and volunteer experiences with the FLDOE Office of Healthy Schools, the School Health Interdisciplinary Program in association with the University of Florida, SHIP, and the Shake a Leg Foundation. I will be pursuing a Master of Science in Health Education and Behavior. In the future, I have ambitions to work with non- profit health promotion organizations.
