Software Quality Assurance Engineer
CurrentIn the R&D department, I collaborate on the agile development of new products, with a primary focus on software validation across the entire software life cycle—from the alpha stage to the RTM release.Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement software validation plans for marine electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards to guarantee product reliability and performance.- Establish and manage the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) process at the Ensenada R&D site, aligning with global quality benchmarks for software performance and security.- Develop test strategies, design detailed test scenarios, and create specific test cases for manufacturing, optimizing both efficiency and product quality.- Perform internal validation of software and hardware, collaborating with external customers to ensure products meet global validation criteria, while maintaining customer involvement throughout the process.- Design, implement, and execute both automated and manual test suites for marine electronics (GPS, Autopilots, Radars, Sonar, Sensors) using CAN (NMEA2000, J1939) and Ethernet networks to validate product functionality.- Provide manufacturing support, troubleshooting technical issues, and streamlining production processes to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery.- Develop tools to enhance team productivity, focusing on automating testing and workflows, with a primary focus on Python to optimize team performance.- Use Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) to manage agile project workflows, track progress, and collaborate effectively across teams.- Oversee NMEA2000 certification assessments, ensuring compliance with global standards and supporting successful product launches in international markets.- Conduct testing for Android products using ADB, Fastboot, and Linux, developing and executing automated test cases with APKs to ensure functionality, performance, and quality.
