Head of the English Program responsibilities included creating relevant and exciting ELA curriculum for Pre-K through 9th grades while using UBD methodology. Utilizing SIOP methodology and WIDA standards to promote equitable learning in a Japanese/American language Two-Way Immersion environment where levels of skill differentiated greatly. Offering lower-level ELL students customized ESL support. Advising administration and other teachers on ELA/ELL-related curriculum and matters. Leader of the ESL after-school club.
