I also train and oversee our team leaders at Carleton University, ensuring that one to one support can be established for volunteers from various departments. As the Rural Outreach Coordinator, I organize monthly trips to rural areas outside of Ottawa and to remote regions in northern Ontario (Kashechewan, Fort Albany and Attawapiskat) and Quebec (Mistissini, Ouje, Kuujurapik, Whapmagoostui and, Kuujuaq). I establish educator contact and develop an activity program to ensure that curriculum related kits are presented and concerns and special needs are addressed.
