• Develop, implement and evaluate stakeholder engagement and communication plans for various NTC projects• Development of a social media strategy for the organisation and management of social media accounts• Manage the development and distribution of the NTC e-newsletter, including writing and editing content in consultation with project teams• Proactively identifying and developing media coverage for projects as appropriate, as well as responding to media enquiries• Produce professional communications materials such as fact sheets, bulletins, e-newsletter, media releases and maintaining content on the NTC website • Manage the development of key corporate documents such as the Strategic Plan and Work Program• Write engaging speeches and presentations for the CEO and Commissioners• Liaise with external suppliers such as designers, printers and editors to ensure high quality output• Participate as an active member of project teams and provide project managers with strategic communications advice, guidance and support on stakeholder relationships and issues management

• Project manage the production of the annual report for tabling in Commonwealth Parliament, including developing and editing the majority of content and liaising with external suppliers• Produce professional communications materials such as fact sheets, bulletins, e-newsletter, media releases and website copy • Assist staff with the development of stakeholder engagement and communications plans for projects• Monitor the media coverage of the organisation• Liaise with the media and respond to enquiries• Development of speeches and presentations for senior executives• Maintenance of content of the NTC’s staff intranet and the NTC website

Contributing articles to Hopscotch Friday blog (pop culture, film and book reviews etc).

• Write and proofread copy across a wide range of topics including political, community and sports news and submit these to deadline• Conduct personal and telephone interviews• Photograph subjects and events for stories• Establish relationships with key contacts across government, local business and community organisations• Layout copy and pictures on pages for publication using InDesign

• Establish rapport and maintain close contact with local community stakeholders • Be first point of contact for community concerns and enquiries and ensure these are responded to in a timely manner• Coordinate public relations events, such as media opportunities and community events, in order to create awareness and increase the profile of VicRoads Northern City Projects within the community and the media• Writing publicity material such as media releases, media kits, publications, advertisements and web pages in line with project communication strategies• Coordinate the publication and distribution of publicity material
