Build member engagement through monthly newsletters and coordinate social events and networking opportunities across professional programs. Advertise and maintain publicity about meetings and events to increase publicity. Build and maintain relationships with the national IHI Open School organization, and partner with IHI Open School Chapters at appropriate organizations and universities within the larger University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill system to create initiatives and develop action-plans

Navigated subchapter funding approval process, and aided in filing for 501-3c tax-exemption. Started social media accounts and recruited volunteers. Planned and executed fundraising, community outreach, and informational sessions to support veteran and service dog teams.

Raised and trained two successful service dogs for veterans with PTSD. Helped pair service dogs with veterans and carry out recruitment and fundraising events.

Processed PCR COVID-19 tests and documented results. Prepared vials for specimen collections. Aided in sample collection and workplace sterilization.

Planned and organized soccer camps, housing, dinning, and transportation for veterans and community members nationwide using over $100,000 of VA Grant funding. Traveled with the program to train attendants in 7-a-side (Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury adaptation) and 5-a-side (blind and visually impaired adaptation) soccer. Helped connect veterans with their local communities and obtain coaching certificates. Assisted with fostering relationships among other programs to host collaborative camps. Helped prepare participants for Mental Health First Aide certification. Learned grant application processes, and helped implement remote program under the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation Grant to support community engagement during the pandemic for people confined to wheelchairs and their caregivers.
