Position: Member services administrator (part-time: 30-35 hours per week)Reports to: staff vice president, membership marketing divisionBasic function: oversee and assist the TBA Membership Committee with their volunteer functions of Recruiting new member and Retaining current members. • Processes new member applications and renewals• Prepares welcome packets for new and renewing members• Submits new members and renewal lists, with payment, to NAHB and HBAV at the end of each month• Works closely with financial division to confirm payments and invoicing• Maintains a hard-copy filing system of member applications and correspondence• Maintains accuracy of BuilderFusion membership database• Prepares monthly renewal mailings• Maintains retention statistics for each month’s renewals• Prepares monthly membership reports (new, renewed and inactive) for staff vice presidents• Stays abreast of all member benefits offered by HBAV and NAHB• Prepares various membership reports for board meetings and committee meetings• Provides mailing labels to members, as requested• Sets up TBA display at home show and Homearama events• Assists in coordinating judging for Homearama events.Future responsibilities if position is expanded• Meets with new and prospective members to explain association benefits• Coordinates sponsorships and logistics of annual TBA picnic and membership meeting• Handles event registration for all events coordinated by membership marketing division• Serves as staff liaison for the picnic and membership committees, preparing agendas and minutes, contacting committee members, and following up on various tasks

Law Enforcement. During my years with this office, I worked in administration and was the Captain of Public Affairs for the Sheriff 1991-2002. Primary spokesperson for the sheriff’s office; Worked with executive officers to address the press and public sensitivities in emergency situations. Liaison between the sheriff’s office and the public. (From 2002 through 2008 I took a sabbatical and worked elsewhere. Returned to the sheriff’s Office in 2008 as a deputy sheriff working in Civil Process until my retirement of November 1, 2011. Total of 25 years.

Provided assistance to the public as well as attorneys and other court personnel with their needs of the clerk’s office. Required computer skills, accounting, customer service and working under strict deadlines.
