Hello! I'm Dr. Liz, a graduate of NCNM (now NUNM) in 2013. I completed a 2-year residency through the National College of Natural Medicine, and then progressed into primary care and urgent care clinics to expand my knowledge and expertise in conventional and naturopathic medicine. My current role is as a medical consultant and clinical educator for a functional hormone lab, called Precision Analytical (the lab that performs the DUTCH test). I am also the owner and sole physician at Astrea Family Wellness, in Salem, Oregon, offering nutrigenomic, nutrition, herbal and IV support to patients wishing to better their health and better their understanding of their bodies. My undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science degree was obtained in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Music in 2006, from Pacific University in the lovely town of Forest Grove, OR. My undergraduate training in pre-medical sciences took me through a variety of medical professions of interest, but I ultimately found my passion in naturopathic medicine, inspired by it's strong foundation in biochemistry and human physiology, emphasizing a strong focus on whole-patient health and identifying and treating the root cause of disease or illness. I honor and respect all forms of medicine, with an ultimate goal of working in an integrated medical clinic alongside medical doctors and other medical professionals of a variety of backgrounds to provide patients with well-rounded and personally tailored health care. In naturopathic family medicine, my interests are broad and include nutrigenomics and nutrition, health coaching, endocrinology, women’s health and optimal aging support.
