In reaction to implications from the industrial revolution, sustainability has moved to the forefront of agendas worldwide, particularly in the last 30 years. Subsequently sustainable architecture has become an increasingly important topic, with significant theories emerging. However, despite the immense array of existing knowledge and literature, sustainable architecture theory is still a vast and vague topic.This research aims to find structure and hierarchy within sustainable architecture theories by relating, adapting and configuring Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory to sustainable architecture theories, to form a holistic archive and catalogue. Existing theories will be reinterpreted using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to investigate the relationship between philosophy, theory, strategies and tactics.As well as discovering if patterns, consistencies and meanings emerge, which may suggest relationships and binding principles between a varied collection of data. Encouraging sustainable architecture theory to become more accessible for improved knowledge share.

I worked for BeIntent for a number of years in both full-time and part-time capacities during my studies. My role included a variety of graphic design tasks as well as general admin duties.
