I am a social work student and social services professional committed to serving my community with empathy and dignity. As a student I am completing a social work field placement with Playtime Project, a DC-area organization that cultivates resilience in children experiencing family housing insecurity through transformative play experiences. While pursuing my degree, I work part-time with At Home in Alexandria, a village movement organization that provides non-medical, community-driven support to seniors living in Alexandria, Virginia.Previously, I served women experiencing homelessness, elementary school students in under-resourced urban schools (City Year DC '18-'19), and domestic violence survivors. My professional interests lie in strengthening the social-emotional health of children, empowering power-based violence survivors, and fostering communities that emphasize intergenerational interdependence. As a DC-area local, I enjoy serving my community through voting rights initiatives at my church All Souls Church Unitarian and my board membership with The Summons. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, canning jam, creating art, hosting potlucks, and cycling with my partner.
