Administrative Technician
Coordinate and schedule initial appearances time with Chambers, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Federal Public Defender and U.S. Marshal Service and coordinate with U.S. Pretrial Services Officer, complete a referral on the new arrest and run a criminal record check. Run criminal record checks daily on arrests, monthly case reviews, closing cases. Maintain the detained and non supervised case load. Run criminal record checks on non supervised cases that are closing. Manage case files through PACTS system; open and close cases; modify conditions and change through PACTS; update any information as needed. Distribute and maintain court calendar, through CM/ECF, advise officers of any upcoming court hearings; Receive, screen, refer telephone and in person callers; screen anyincoming /outgoing mail, electronic or paper. Provide assistance to officers of legal documents, correspondence to court family, of correct spelling and format.Process travel for both Greenbelt or Baltimore Offices, in past have also arranged travel. Maintain logs of GSA vehicle keys and travel checks; Maintain logs location monitoring equipment, incoming and outgoing equipment. Facilities management; oversee maintenance of office equipment and supplies; archive and purge closed files; Trained new clerks and receptionist duties as well as scanning and uploading documents.
