Smart Balanced Cognitive Labs, Pilot Test and Field Test:• Developed and managed the distribution of communications for a pilot test administered by the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, a consortium of 25 U.S. states developing computer-administered standardized tests for students in grades three through eight and eleven.• Managed the development and wrote sections of test administration materials used for the Smarter Balanced Pilot Test.• Developed and delivered training presentations to state, district, and school administrators participating in the Pilot Test.• Worked with the client to gather requirements for the online testing and test registration software systems used for the Smarter Balanced Field Test and ensured correct implementation with the software developers.• Developed recruitment materials and worked on the design, Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, and logistics for Smarter Balance cognitive labs and subsequent trials of innovative test item types.Test Book Development (various projects):• Managed the development, editing, and production of general administration standardized high school level test books, ensuring their timely completion by managing internal teams (Production, Graphics, Content, and Operations) and outside printing vendors.• Created and managed overlapping test development schedules.• Served as a copyeditor, reviewing general administration standardized test books ranging from grade three through high school under six simultaneous contracts.• Managed the production of “Special Version” tests, which focused on increasing accessibility to English language learners and students with disabilities.• Managed vendors to produce Braille test books for two simultaneous contracts.• Developed scripted versions of standardized state assessments for audio test versions provided for students with testing accommodations.
