Research & Development (Clinical)- Clinical Pharmacology - Pharmacometrics- QSP (Quantitative Systems Pharmacology)

-Scrub in on blepharoplasty, brow lift, ptosis, and other medical and cosmetic procedures, ensuring and maintaining sterility while assisting the physician. Set up surgical trays and sterilized instruments between cases. -Explain post-operative instructions and encourage the use of office endorsed products to patients to ensure their maximized recovery. Recover post-operative local and MAC anesthesia patients and provide products to themselves or their driver. -Communicate with CRNA and order various anesthetic or prescription drugs for office use. Clarify pre- versus post-operative prescriptions with patients. -Thoroughly work up patients and ensure their medical history and reason for visit is put into EMR accurately.

- Acted as a liaison between drug representatives and the physician, coordinated prescription sample restocking, communicated with prescription assistance programs and pharmacists, demonstrated how to use insulin pens and continuous glucose monitors for patients. -Direct patient care through working up patients, straight-style phlebotomy, various laboratory tests, urinalysis, injections/vaccinations, PFT, X-Ray, EKG, allergy testing, insulin pen demonstrations, I&D aid, pap smear aid.-Checked patients in and out, scheduled appointments and triaged patients over the phone, verified insurance, completed insurance and physician referrals, and ordered medical devices.

- Orchestrated tuberculosis sputum tests and administered tuberculosis medications to patients daily to ensure compliance. Worked with laboratory companies, nurses, and physicians to provide optimal care to infectious patients. - Tended to injuries in the trauma unit and complied with the efficiency of the fast-paced, underserved emergency room.

- Circulated multiple operating rooms simultaneously, preparing and organizing them to meet needs of individual surgeons and to enhance team efficiency while maintaining a sterile environment.- Tended to post-operational patients and informed them of their personal responsibilities to optimize their recovery and assessed their mental and physical state prior to releasing them from the surgery center.

- Interacted directly with patients daily and responsible for measuring their prescriptions, eye dilation, and communicating their concerns with the physician while also scribing. - Instructed patients while operating various instruments for capturing photos and screenings necessary for their upcoming cataract surgeries.
