I’ve been working in the media industry part-time since 2012 and full-time since 2016. I started as a freelance music critic, trained under seasoned, award-winning journalists and worked my way up to managing editor of the only daily newspaper in New York's Adirondack Park before moving on to the Times Union in Albany. I am a 13-time award-winning journalist, including awards for state government reporting (New York News Publishers Association, 2019), distinguished editorial writing (New York News Publishers Association, 2022) and for government watchdog writing (New York Coalition for Open Government, 2024).
