As an intern, I had the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge sustainability initiatives. My primary responsibilities included conducting carbon analysis on innovative solar collectors and proposing and designing a comprehensive carbon offsetting project aligned with Gold Standard certifications. This role allowed me to apply my analytical skills to evaluate the environmental impact of solar technologies and contribute to meaningful carbon reduction strategies. It was a valuable experience in advancing my expertise in sustainability and renewable energy solutions.

Forest Survey Techniques: Familiarity with various forest survey techniques, including forest structure and carbon storage capacity assessment, butterfly trapping, amphibian and reptile transect surveys, bird point count and mist net surveys, fungi surveying, large mammal surveys from camera trapping, and bat surveys from mist netting and soundscaping.3. Data Collection and Analysis: Experience in collecting and analysing data related to forest surveys and marine ecology.4. Diving and Snorkeling Skills: Competence in diving and snorkelling, possibly including completion of a PADI Open Water dive training course.5. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a large team of scientists on various projects.6. Technological Integration: Exposure to integrating technological solutions into monitoring and studying coral reefs, such as 3D computer modeling, robotics for reef surveying, and stereo-video fish surveys.7. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing data sets obtained from forest and marine surveys.8. Adaptability: Capability to adapt to different ecosystems and research conditions in both cloud forests and marine environments.9.
